Does anyone have any resources they recommend on working with and manipulating light? I feel it's an area I really struggle with and would appreciate anything you guys have to offer. Wanting to order a 5-in-1 reflector and stand in hopes of playing around a bit, but I should probably learn how to use them properly first, ha.
Thanks!

I have a 5 in 1 reflector and I love it!! You always have to have someone there to asist you but they do work out really nice! I personally am pr natural light and try to avoid using a flash unless used correctly so the 5 in 1 works out great! I go tmine for like $30 I think.

Thanks Bridget! If you get a stand for it, is it still necessary to have an assistant? Also, do you think the size and shape of the reflector affects much?

I've never tried using a stand actually, so I'm not sure but I would say no. I think the size really depends on what your photographing if you are doing like say two people I would definitely use a 32" (which is what mine is) but I've heard for pets and such a 22" is a good size. I LOVE my 5 in 1 sometimes the sliver is to strong and I don't like the way it turns out so having it as 5in 1 works out great just ot use as black for the sun ie picture below I used just the white to take out the bright sun from above them so a bigger size works best if your going to ever use it for something like this.
