so here's the idea: - someone starts by posting a photo that belongs to them that they don't mind other people editing. the photo must be unedited, and must be a decent size for people to work with (minimum 600 pixels).
- after at least five edits, the original poster can choose a favourite
- the "winner" may start a new thread with their own challenge or pass it on to someone else.
the whole point being that we can explore how others edit, their different styles, what they see as a good "end result" from a photo etc. no critique unless the editor asks for it, and for now you can post up to three different edits of one picture. that might change depending how popular or unpopular this is! if the original poster chooses to keep a watermark on, DO NOT remove it. please note that it isn't necessarily about getting the grainiest, dullest possible image and challenging people to make it perfect.. it's more about looking at style. whether all you do is alter an imperfection, or change colour and focus completely! for now i'm saying first five edits before we start a new one, but let me know if it would be better if we just did it over the course of a week or month or something. so i'll start, what would you do with this? click for larger version!
